The Tiger is
the spirit of the Indian Jungle, the symbol of India is wilderness & its National
Heritage Species. Even his distant roar, or an alarm call of some animal announcing
his presence , charges the whole environment of the jungle with excitement.
The horse (Equus ferus caballus) is a hoofed (ungulate) mammal, a subspecies of
one of seven extant species of the family Equidae. The horse has evolved over the
past 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-toed creature into the large, single-toed
animal of today.
Gorillas are large, quiet, gentle apes that live in Africa. Although gorillas are frequently portrayed as aggressive, dangerous killers, they are really shy, peaceful vegetarians. Because of massive loss of habitat, these majestic primates are in great danger of going extinct.
The giraffe is non-territorial and social; it lives in very loose, open herds with no specific leaders or coordination of herd movement. This structure reflects that a giraffe?s size makes a ?safety in numbers? tactic unnecessary, and that the trees they feed on tend to be spaced apart.
The male Indian Peafowl, commonly known as the peacock, is one of the most recognizable birds in the world. These large, brightly colored birds have a distinctive crest and an unmistakable ornamental train.
